This Privacy Policy explains how Saltfort LLC (“Saltfort,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit saltfort.com (the “Site”), contact us, or work with us as a client or prospective client.

We’ve kept it short and plain on purpose. If anything is unclear, email us and we’ll explain.

AT A GLANCE
We collect what you send us, plus basic technical data from your visit.
We use it to reply, run engagements and keep the Site working.
We don’t sell your personal information.
You can ask us to access, correct or delete it at any time.
01

Information we collect

  • Information you give us. Your name, email, company, role and phone number, and anything you include when you email us, book a call or fill out a form — such as project details, budgets and timelines.
  • Client and engagement information. Contact details for your team, billing information and communications during a project.
  • Information collected automatically. IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, referring URLs and timestamps, collected through server logs, cookies and similar technologies.
  • Information from others. Professional details from public sources, such as a company website or professional network profile, or from people who refer you to us.
02

How we use information

  • To respond to inquiries, schedule calls and prepare proposals.
  • To perform and manage engagements, including invoicing and account administration.
  • To operate, secure, maintain and improve the Site.
  • To send occasional updates about our services where permitted — you can opt out at any time.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.
03

Client project data

When we build or maintain software for a client, we may access data that belongs to that client or its end users. We process that data only on the client’s instructions and under the confidentiality and data-protection terms of the applicable client agreement, including a data processing agreement where one is required.

That data is not governed by this Policy — the client’s own privacy notice applies to it.

04

How we share information

We don’t sell or rent personal information, and we don’t share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We share it only:

  • with service providers that help us run our business — for example hosting, email, scheduling, analytics, accounting and payment processing — under contracts that limit how they use it;
  • with personnel and subcontractors who need it to deliver an engagement and are bound by confidentiality;
  • when required by law, or to protect the rights, safety and property of Saltfort, our clients or others; and
  • in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.
05

Cookies and analytics

We use a small number of cookies and similar technologies to keep the Site working and to understand, in aggregate, how visitors use it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works.

06

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes above — for example, for the length of an engagement and a reasonable period afterward for legal, tax and accounting purposes — and then delete or anonymize it.

07

Security

We use administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the information we hold, including access controls, encryption in transit and least-privilege access to client systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

08

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of marketing.

Residents of certain U.S. states, including California, may have additional rights under state privacy laws. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

To make a request, email hello@saltfort.com. We’ll verify your request and respond within the time required by law, and we won’t discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

09

International transfers

Saltfort is based in the United States, and our service providers and personnel may be located in other countries. Your information may therefore be processed outside your country of residence. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers, such as standard contractual clauses.

10

Children’s privacy

The Site and our services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

11

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We’ll post the new version here and update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If the changes are significant, we’ll give more prominent notice.
